- When evaluating a jump, You Score Horses displays a large drawing pad for entering one or more symbols for the jump. This takes less
time than locating and drawing a symbol on a small area on a paper score card.
- A jump symbol can be drawn quickly by finger or by
using a stylus.
- The drawn symbol can be easily changed and redrawn by clicking on the clear button. This is more efficient than erasing
(or crossing out and writing over) the hand-drawn symbol on a paper score card.
- The jump symbol(s) on the drawing pad are saved and
the drawing pad for the next jump (if there are more jumps in the course) is displayed with a simple click.
- Only exceptional jump
symbols need to be drawn. If the jump is good, a default symbol for “good jump” is entered by just a simple click (or pressing the
return key on an attached keyboard). This means that the judge does not need to draw any symbol for most jumps and can keep focus
on the horse and the rider.
- A "good jump" symbol can be defined by the user or the programs default symbol can be used.
You Score Horses automates the scoring process so judges have more time to observe and evaluate horses and their riders.
